FRESH Speakers, Jackson has shared his story and hosted workshops at conferences spanning from TED Women to San Diego Comic-Con as well as at private events including at Oxfam, YouTube, and MIT.
He is also known for his past work with the
Harry Potter Alliance (HPA), a nonprofit that activates online fan communities towards social action. As the HPA's Director of Wizard-Muggle Relations, Jackson produced videos as
The Boy Who Vlogged, co-wrote
an award-winning case study of the organization, and helped earn them a place as one of "
9 Non-Profits That Get Web Humor" from Mashable.
Jackson is currently a
Civic Media Fellow at the Annenberg Innovation Lab at the University of Southern California.
Raised in Texas, he now lives in New York City, where he spends his spare time hosting pub quizzes and growing pumpkins on his patio.
