From Voldemort to House Elves: Exploring Power in the Wizarding World with Steven Lauterwasser

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Voldemort begins the books weak and dependent, but somehow returns to power, while House Elves have magic beyond any witch or wizard and yet are maybe the most oppressed group in the wizarding world. In this session, we’ll explore why by talking about what it means to be powerful, who has power and why, and the complex relationship between power, truth, and fiction.
