Race and Representation in HP with Jolie Doggett

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Where do you see yourself in Harry Potter, even if it isn't explicitly stated? Vanessa and Jolie will talk about reading Hermione as Black and/or Jewish, and how a lack of representation creates issues when we want to see ourselves in our sacred texts. Participants will be invited to share where they can read themselves into the text, regardless if it was the "intended" reading experience.

An open mind & heart!
